Static Storm System - Spasm

AMM0000-2     released 31.dec.01

This disc features 21 minutes of noise from Austin, Texas. In the title track, rhythmic noise structures give way to an abstract soundscape of alien screams, menacing drones, and deep rumbles. A single recording of a voice (reading from the book Spasm by Arthur Kroker) was the source for all sounds used in this composition. Also on board are remixes by Tamarin vs. Army of the 23 Monkeys (Frozen Empire Media / Mad Monkey Records), Anti.gen, and Death Threat. The final eight tracks on this release are a sample kit of some individual sounds used in the original track.

The original Spasm 3" CDr was limited to 23 copies, all packaged in metal hard drive cases. Each copy is unique, and some cannot be opened without a T8 size Torx screwdriver.

"...packaging just can not get any better... ...definitely a collector item..."
